The Washington Post for iPhone — Chloe Negron

The Apple ecosystem has always harmoniously integrated with a news content strategy, and ios 7 provided an even greater partnership for utilitarian UI and rich visual content. For iOS 7, we pared down the heavy navigation of our iOS 6 UI and capitalized on the contrast between weights of Helvetica and the negative space between each news element. The contrast provided users with a faster read, and a more modern experience.

This structural update allowed us increase performance and return to a fully-native app expereince, rather than relying on HTML as needed. Check it out in the App Store.
